For this weeks #2012PROJECT52 theme – Spring (Autumn is still 6 months away so we can disregard that part), I thought I’d move away from the typical seasonal photo and go with something different.

This is The Sacred Spring Overflow at the Roman Baths in Bath, Somerset, UK.

This is the point at which hot water that was not required for use in the bathing establishment flowed from the Spring into the great Roman drain. From there it was carried to the River Avon a few hundred metres away.

The light parts in the photo in the top right and centre of the picture is actually the steam from the hot water flowing through.
